Today, I’m going to Faulkner University Center for Therapy and Research in Montgomery, Alabama. I will get to meet Clinic Staff who will help me feel better.
I will enter the waiting area. It may be crowded and noisy due to the construction in this area. That’s okay, this is a Sensory Inclusive™ Location.
First I will visit the front desk to check-in. I can also borrow a KultureCity® Sensory Bag here.
Inside a KultureCity® Sensory Bag are items I can use to stay calm during my visit. There are noise-canceling headphones if I find it’s too loud. There are fidget toys I can use to keep me focused. I can feel more comfortable when I use these items.
Sometimes I will need to wait before my scheduled appointment time. I will wait in the waiting room.
When it’s my turn, I will visit a treatment room or the gym. The gyms are Headphone Zones.
There is a restroom in the waiting area. If I am in the treatment room, I can ask Clinic Staff if there is one closer.
Once I have finished my visit with the Clinic Staff I will return to the front desk. I will return the KultureCity® Sensory Bag and confirm I am checking-out.
I had a great visit at the Faulkner University Center for Therapy and Research. Knowing what to expect made it easy. Thank you to the Clinic Staff for taking such good care of me!
